Chorus

Chorus offers students the opportunity to develop their musical talents using their most natural instrument—their voice. Throughout the school year, students learn vocal techniques, music reading skills, and how to perform as part of an ensemble while also building confidence through individual and group performances. Repertoire includes a wide variety of musical styles, from traditional choral literature to contemporary and popular selections.

Students who demonstrate exceptional musical ability may audition for prestigious honor ensembles, including the Forsyth County Honor Chorus, District Honor Chorus, Georgia 6th Grade Statewide Honor Chorus, Georgia All-State Chorus, and other festival opportunities.

North Forsyth Middle School offers three chorus ensembles: 6th Grade Chorus, 7th Grade Chorus, and 8th Grade Chorus—with approximately 50 students in each group. Each chorus meets daily as an exploratory class, providing students with consistent instruction and opportunities to grow as musicians and performers.
